Mission Statement
The mission of the FSU Project Management Center is to promote the study and practice of project management as a discipline. The Center focuses on research, scholarship, and professional development activities that are of immediate interest and value to practicing project managers.
Mission Overview
Scholars from the Project Management Center will consider closely the needs of practicing project managers and involve them from time to time in their research and scholarship. This collaborative synergy between scholars and project managers will characterize the central mission of the FSU Project Management Center. The long-term goal of the Center will be to establish a Center of Excellence for the study and practice of project management serving Florida State University, the Southeast, and the United States.
Goals of the Center
The Project Management Center currently manages our academic
Graduate Certificate program in Project Management described on several of
the following and associated pages.
The faculty affiliated with the Center are actively engaged in instructing courses, developing workshops, and/or conducting research that achieve the goals of the Center.
2008 Graduate Project Management Certificates Awarded
Graduate project management certificates were awarded to three students at the end of of the 2008 Spring semester:

Congratulations to all certificate awardees! At this juncture, the number of certificates awarded to students in 2008 is 16. Fall semester awardees are expected as well. Including 2007, the first year the certificate was offered, the total number of certificates awarded to students so far is 45.
