Student Project Plans
Degree and certificate seeking graduate students have considerable flexibility to pursue personal interests. Coursework requirements typically include both academic and practical aspects.
Students earning the project management certificate are exposed to best practices for developing project plans. Some students may opt to augment their studies with practical "hands on" work assignments. The following project plans are representative samples of works that students have created as part of their Master's degree studies.

Web Site of the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority: A multimedia project plan by Brian Morgan
|
This document presents a proposal and
project plan to develop a promotional and informational Web site
for the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority(www.tallahasseedowntown.com).
It was created within the Florida State University’s Department
of Communication and demonstrates knowledge obtained within the Interactive
Media emphasis of the department’s Integrated Marketing Communication
program, and its certificate in Project Management. Much of the information about the background of the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority and Downtown Tallahassee was obtained while consulting with Mr. Al Pasini, DIA Executive Director and Mr. W. Allen Thompson, Promotions Coordinator. They provided valuable insight into the direction and their vision of the Web site. Their time, cooperation, and generosity were vital to this project and are duly recognized. |
United Nations web-based application by Farhood Basiri
|
The purpose of this project was to develop an online application for the Model United Nations (MUN) conference. The development team recognized that such an application could potentially be sold to other organizations with comparable needs. As such, the project was approached and designed with the idea of reselling the product to similar conferences and organizations.
